Just a short note to say thanks for letting me into your fine forum. I live in Bishopton (pishy Bishy) where the sun never shines, and have been restoring an Indian Lambretta for the last two years. Just finished. I'm currently having trouble starting it, but think i've sussed out a timing issue. You may see me shortly on the roads running in.... I wont be going that fast for a while anyway (well not until I fit the seat) Robert

Thanks Its an SR175 (stage 4) top end, with Gp150 gearbox, 28/30 PWK Carb breathing through a Remote Filter (on the standard rubber elbow) I've put on a PM copy stainless expansion pipe too. But.... at the moment it wont start Spark's there, fuel in the carbs, but suspect that I may have set the static timing up a bit out ( getting ocassional exhaust combustion backfires)

Good set up! lots of Italian parts on her as well Thanks Stevie, aye I do like my Lambretta's ;D Can't see clear but if it has an Indian ignition switch on her its worth checking it out as they can cause a lot of earthing problems and will still give you a spark. Try disconnecting the green wire at the black cdi unit isolating the switch, if she runs the ignition switch is the problem. worth a try! hope this helps Your seat looks a bit un cumfy

Sadly I've never been on it... been working on it for 2 years, and before that it was running around Delhi. The before looked like this. My wife says that I'm going through a mod life crisis...
