Working on the lammy tonight and got it started using the choke. It ticked over for a while then cut out. Got it going again but spluttered to a stop. Checked the sparkplug (dry) and replaced it. Fuel was dripping from somewhere and running off the exhaust but I couldn't see any fuel coming from the carb or feed pipes to it. Any ideas what or where it might be?

Thanks Ted, looked up some 'fault finding' sites and they were saying the same. I'll have a look at the weekend and hopefully it's only a new float and needle required.

Gypo, just give the carb a good clean & check the float is movin` freely! also make sure there`s no fuel in the float, which means yee`d have tae replace it. I take it that it`s a standard delortto you`ve got fitted ?

Its a standard carb and I'm taking it into work on Monday to give it a clean. Didn't manage to get near it today and off to the Everton v Arsenal game tomorrow, so first thing Monday I be working on it. Thanks again Ted!
